#FAIR USE# – 2016 “Flat Earth” – Part 2: FLAT PROOF!!!?
The John George Abizaid Expedition… will prove once and for all… if we live on a sphere… or if we live on a flat, stationary earth.
All that is needed is to sail in a full circle – all the way around the 56th degree South Latitude Line… and calculate the mileage.
I believe the globe math places the journey at approximately 13,950 miles (or approx 12,125 nautical miles). With the bearing on 90 degrees South (South Pole)… the Google tool radius = 2,357 miles or 2,048 nautical miles. I’m not sure if this radius is correct, however. It appears Google may be using a spherical radius??? Not sure… but, I used the tool to map out the circumference of the equator – which is generally accepted as about 24,901 miles. However, the radius appears to be way off from the accepted figure of 3,959 miles. For some reason, the Google Ruler Tool has the radius as about 6,215 miles??? I’m not sure if they are using spherical radius – or if they are using the radius going thru the center of the earth from pole to pole???
I have not had a chance to see how Google Earth is calculating the radius – coming up with 6,215 miles – and a circumference of 24,901 miles around the equator.
